M70 Crackley and weak when warmed up

Hey folks:

One of my M70s sounds weak and crackley once it's warmed up. Does that mean the amp is blown? If so, I suppose you cannot buy new amps for these, right?

The amps are obsolete but some vendors might still have NOS modules available. However, before you go there, there's some questions:

1) When it happens, does it do this on one channel or both?
2) When it happens, can you please check and see if you are getting crackly output from the line-outs too?
3) When this happens, is it on tuner only or in every function?

It would have been interesting to know the outcome.

I was reading a different topic about restoring a Carver home stereo amplifier and
I have read that caps have a 20-30 life,
after which you may even see visual signs of wear and even bulging caps.
