That in itself is an amazing feat! it must have been the good lovin' I gave her. :w00t:

Anyway, it's a Hitachi TRK-W550H. Does anybody know anything this model? I found a link to a picture on ShizAudio:

http://www.shizaudio...p?image_id=3480

She said it's kind of heavy. Takes 10 D cells. Not nearly as heavy as Freddie's JVC PC-55.

The real kicker... she paid $4.50 for it at a local thrift store. I can't wait to see it!!

Top stuff Bobby! I always find it all the more encouraging when loved ones start giving you the things you collect.
It's like a wonderful empowering statement that you aren't stopping any time soon and a resignation from the ones who keep on saying 'you have enough'.

Rock On.

It's in better condition than she made it sound. Both eject buttons do need some work though. Haven't tested the decks yet. The only "major" thing is the antenna is missing.

Pics tomorrow! :-)

Incredible fatdog, very few of the ladies really understand boomboxes and seems even fewer want them around. You lucky dog!

The hitachi looks great, I've never seen that model before.

I have to give my wife credit as well. :angelic: She tells her friends and looks around at thrifties and yard sales etc. to help me out. And after meeting some of the group, she thinks it's super cool.

These units have a checkered past as they were used very frequently by Pakistani cab drivers in various cities.

Pretty much, anyone who's been in a cab in Detroit has a checkered past.
