getting a Sony WM-DD9 . on the cheap

A friend of mine just messaged to that he bought a walkman at a yardsale ... very mint and seemed like a nice one... for $1 ..told me it was a Sony WM-DD9
now I am not a big walkman fan, but after some reading it seems like a keeper ... the negotiated price is $40

I wont see him until Friday, so have to wait until then. hopefully nothing changes between now and then. But of course I was going to be getting it for sure after reading up on them

Picked it up today, its as described, very nice shape, has a cool rechargeable battery. I can see why these are desirable

Def a keeper, unless a trade offer I couldn't refuse.
