Hello
Does JVC DC-33 NEEDS that little removable battery box to be able to be used with 10 D cells. Naturally if missing from the radio it can't be played on batteries.

Also haw much does the JVC DC-7 weigh and how does it sound overall? Good bass? Nice rich full sound? I assume the JVC RC-M70 sounds BETTER then the DC-7..

Also how much does the JVC DC-33 weigh in at. Just "won" a DC-33 on Ebay for $51.00. Tape deck belts needs replacement BUT the Turntable reportedly works. DC-7 a BACK-BREAKER but hopefully the DC-33 is lighter.

You can ask member Bendycat. He used to have a DC-7.

Have a dc7 - sorry just gave it away !

m70 is better than both put together x10

the DC7 is very heavy indeed - close to v2000 weight

the dc7 has a good clear sound that can go up loud - but not much in bass (it would shake the record too much)

Thank you for the info on the DC- 7 and DC-33. Does the DC-7 have a battery box that you need to operate with batteries? Or is that only one the DC-33

the dc 7 has a battery compartment built into the back of the speakers you just remove the black plastic cover from the speaker with a flat head screwdriver and the batteries go in there ,it had power leads to run along with the speaker wires that plugs into the back of the unit.
