Hi. Got a D8614 bought from a car boot sale a few years ago for the bargain price of £2.50!! Cool bit of kit. But it has a few issues. Any help would be muchly appreciated

1. FM radio doesnt work. Tried jimmying the button many times. Get nothing. All other frequencies work?

2. Tape plays a bit slow and sometimes not at all, left spindle turns but right doesn't then it auto stops. Assume this the belt? Are these easy to replace and where can I get them?

I mostly use it with iPod on thru aux inputs. So I still get get could use out of it, but would be nice to get it fully functional again.

Welcome aboard, Tommy. You need to get in touch with member Vienna Sound. He is like the Philips boombox god around here and can probably get you sorted rather quickly.

1. all contacts cleaned well? (contact cleaner). It can be also a electronic problem of the FM section (maybe superduper, our boombox doctor knows more?)

2. seems to be a belt problem
Never changed a belt on this one till today, but just parting one so i will look for more.
Belt kits are sold at my local radioworker shop, so i could also help you
