sort of a timely, cool coincidence -- :-D

that one day after loser pf made his most disgusting performance
( see s2g --wanted forum--the CP-7 thread)

my own lovely CP-7 arrives !! :yes: :yes:

its now easy to know why oldskool is so bonkers about these :w00t:

the looks are total elegance --
and the sound is soooooooooo nice and STRONG-

wish it had an analogue tuner - :drool:
but when the gorgeous digital display lights up --
its manageable :-D :-D :-) :thumbsup:

yes ira but do we agree after testing both my cp-5 next to your cp-7 they basicly sounded the same :yes: :yes: but still even if mine looks like a shark with the missing tape door outer plastic cover mine looks better :lol: :lol: :lol: :lol: :lol:

Well, I don't know if I agree with what you like to do in dark corners Ira :lol: :-P :lol: ...BUT...

Anyone looking at this has got to agree that the black, with no chrome or appurtenances or frills is all business. Anyone here remember my Vector VMC-100 from the meet? Spud has one as well. And I know, that when compared to the JVC PC-11 (The Vector is a clone.) you see the Vector is no joke. All black, all the time, all business. :-D

the cp-7 has an awesome tough handle and very heavy //solid feel to it -
its 21 pounds w/o D cells --

but i am in tremendous shape -- to toss this little sucker around - :-)
because i used to have an aiwa carry compo = same size, but 44 pounds !!!

Sure Ira, I understand (and respect) that you've been after this one for some time. But the fact remains that these are pretty hard to find, and you already have one. Perhaps you'll consider putting up your silver CP-7 for sale to one of the folks here once you've acquired a black version. I can think of a few folks who would be very grateful.

it sounds as strong and as loud and as PUNCHY as any OEM stock box
could ever be with those size speakers --
plus the round thingies on top are not tweeters --
there are very effective vents - :thumbsup: -

but it does not have that big spacious bass output to match
any of your 8 inch (plus) :-) woof box collection.
